Florian League

Political Entities

The Florian League is a highly isolationist multi-system polity on the spinward side of the Trojan Reach, coreward of Aslan? territory. Their isolationism/xenophobia is the result not of any dislike of strangers, but their extreme conservatism. The Florians appear to have been placed here by the Ancients? around 300,000 years ago, before the final war, and are basically still following the last set of commands that they were given by the Ancients, with the smallest possible changes they could make to cope with changing circumstances over those 300,000 years.

Floria? itself can be visited on highly controlled package tours, and is a treasure trove of Ancient artefacts, many of which Imperial scientists would love to study. Although the sustainable tech level appears to be around 14, the Florians still have a large number of working devices from much higher tech levels, showing that they are undertaking a gradual technological devolution (very gradual, if it has take 300,000 years to drop of TL 14).

The Florians are divided into two castes - the Barnai (who are the thinkers) and the Feskals (the labourers).
