Imperial Treasure Ships are legendary, both in the age of their design, and in the potential wealth that they carry. For this reason, many of their details are classified, or are subject to wild and conflicting rumours. It is reasonably certain that they do contain the fabled 'vault' though - a section of their cargo hold armoured sufficient to withstand direct hits from starship grade weaponry, shielded against psionic scanning or teleportation, and protected by an encrypted key that is linked to both the genetic code of those authorised to open it, and the current jump coordinates of the ship itself.

Martin II is the only Imperial Treasure Ship to currently be routinely assigned to the Trojan Reach. It is observed that it primarily operates between Tobia? and Tlaiowaha?, so the assumption is that it carries high-level diplomatic missives between the Ducal Seat and the representatives of the Tlaiowaha clan?.
