CityOfErimThe City of Erim lies in a pass through the Zihar Hills?. The city itself can either refer to the Hirani town, which is really little more than that, or to the old city which is a vast area of ruins surrounded by monumental walls. The dwarves say that the old city predates even the empire, and was old when they found it. They inhabited it in parts, but it has ever been a source of chaos and disruption. The new town lies outside the walls of the old city and the malign influence seems to be entirely contained within the ancient city. The new town is predominantly Hirani but is now under Soltaran control, with a Soltaran govenor and garrison, as befits its position on a key trade route. The rule is quite heavy handed due to a long history of Hirani resistance here. |
