The Clan Council is the body that rules each Votanki Clan?, although Votanki? clans have no tradition of strong central control.

There are traditionally always seven members of the Clan Council, and the participants are also traditional, although circumstances may cause a deviation from tradition. The traditional members of the Clan Council are:

• The Grandmother (senior female Clan Shamen of Hearth Mother)
• The Master Hunter (winner of the previous Great Hunt )
• The Clan Spear (war leader of the clan)
