These are the palisades I am making for the Egyptian camp.
I am making them on 20x40mm bases from ERM using the ends of wooden coffee stirrers (6 per 40mm base). I sandwich these between two matchsticks and then smooth over with polyfilla, cover with sand, paint with Desert Yellow and drybrush with cream. I then paint the shields with animal hide patterns. The corner pieces are the same but on 60x20mm bases and with an extra shield at the corner.
Tally so far is 14 edges and 1 corner in various stages of finish out of 32 edge and 8 corners…gulp!
